VP Bank In Singapore Names Intermediaries Head

VP Bank Singapore branch has appointed Thomas Jost as its head of intermediaries, a role that means the bank is ramping up its move into the market for external asset managers. Jost takes up the role from 1 August this year and reports to Reto Marx, who is head of client business in Singapore. A Swiss national, Jost has almost 20 years of experience in the financial sector, including more than eight years in the Singapore financial centre. Previous positions include periods at Credit Suisse, Bank Julius Baer and EFG Bank AG, VP Bank Singapore said in a statement today. In his role, Jost will concentrate on Asian EAMs to support VP Bank’s growth aspiration in the region, it said. “With Thomas Jost we have been able to win a highly accredited professional with a profound understanding of the intermediaries industry. He will contribute significantly to the further growth of our activities in the Asian markets,” Marx said. The firm has been busy in Asia. A fortnight ago, , based in Liechtenstein, said it had signed a letter of intent to strategically cooperate with Hywin Wealth Management (China).
